Job Description

Location:
Ocean Isle Beach Restore Hours :
Tuesday - Saturday, 7:30 am - 4pm, Full-Time, Non-Exempt Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit housing organization. Our mission is to bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope. The ReStore is our nonprofit home improvement store and donation center. We sell new and gently used furniture, appliances, home goods, and building materials, and the proceeds go directly toward funding our local Habitat projects right here in Brunswick County.
Duties:
Lead the Restore in the absence of the Restore Manager. Promote donations, drive sales and profits of the Restore. Work with staff to develop marketing, social media to build store's visibility in the community. Establish and develop relationships with potential and existing donors of the affiliate, including contractors, suppliers, individuals, businesses, community, and church groups to increase quality and quantity of donations and volunteers. Adhere to and reinforce all policies and procedures. Oversee the effective merchandising of the sales floor, maximizing available display space and using inventory control and pricing to ensure turnover of merchandise.
Requirements:
Committed to Brunswick County Habitat for Humanity's mission. Assist Restore Manager, to ensure compliance with financial reporting, cash handling procedures and handling of Point of sale opening and closing financial transactions. Enforce pricing policy and processes for store merchandise. Review and adjust pricing, as necessary. Ensure good stewardship of Restores resources and work with the Restore Manager to track expenditures and avoid unnecessary expenses.
Personnel Management:
Work in partnership with Restore Manager to train and engage staff with training tools provided. Train new volunteers and staff to deliver high quality, consistent customer service experience in the Restore and ensure issues are professionally resolved and reported in a timely basis. Work in partnership with the Restore Manager to conduct daily and weekly meetings with staff and volunteers to communicate necessary information and obtain feedback. Ensure all policy and procedures are followed.
Reporting and Communication:
Assist the Restore manager with daily communications to all staff and volunteers. Report to the Restore Manager pertinent information that needs resolving. Assist Restore Manager with communication and follow up to Affiliate Administration. Enforcement of OSHA and other job safety requirements. Management of employees in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.
Skills and Experience:
Ethical leadership, demonstrating consistent high standards of integrity and accountability. Experience with staff selection, training, coaching, and developing. Team building through positive, effective communication and strong interpersonal skills. Personal presence, always projecting a professional image in speech and demeanor.
Qualifications:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently and up to 75 lbs. occasionally Job requires bending, kneeling, and reaching often in awkward or tiring positions. Experience in supervision and leading employees. Experience in a retail environment preferred. Demonstrated ability in training, managing, leading, and developing individuals. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to pass background check drug screening. _______________________________​​
