An Assistant Retail Store Manager provides support to the Manager of a retail store, either an independent business or a store that is part of a large retail chain. May have primary responsibility for hiring and training retail sales staff. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. Supervises sales, warehouse, cleaning, maintenance and security staff and prepares work schedules. Responsible for resolving customer complaints.

This is a hands-on position that combines customer service, employee leadership, merchandising, inventory, and operational responsibilities. You'll help set the tone for the team by leading by example, supporting employees, and maintaining Petro Serve USA's standards for customer service, cleanliness, and store operations. Key Responsibilities Assist the Store Manager with daily store operations and overall store performance. Help recruit, interview, hire, train, schedule, coach, and develop store employees. Provide leadership and direction to employees and help maintain accountability for performance. Promote a positive, team-oriented environment for employees and customers. Provide prompt, friendly, and courteous service to all customers. Assist with merchandising, inventory, ordering, receiving, and product rotation. Maintain high standards for store cleanliness, appearance, and organization. Help ensure company policies, procedures, safety standards, and operational expectations are followed. Assist with implementing promotions and other company initiatives. Handle customer and employee concerns appropriately and involve the Store Manager when necessary. Take responsibility for store operations when the Store Manager is unavailable. Perform other duties as needed to support successful store operations. Qualifications Previous retail, customer service, or supervisory experience preferred. Management or leadership experience is a plus. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to lead by example and work effectively with a team. Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities. Comfortable making decisions and solving problems in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills and ability to learn company systems. Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends as business needs require.
