Job Description

Shop Manager Deflex Composite specializes in the manufacturing of fiberglass components. To support its New Hampshire facility, the company is looking for an experienced Shop Manager who can oversee daily operations, lead a team of approximately seven employees, and maintain a stable and well-organized work environment. This role is not about rebuilding everything from the ground up. The focus will be on supporting the operations already in place, strengthening day-to-day structure, and becoming the main point of contact for both employees and customers. Your Role As a hands-on manager, you will stay close to the production floor and ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. You will work closely with the leadership team located at the company's main facility in Saint-Victor, Quebec, which will continue to oversee several administrative functions.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Planning and supervising daily production activities Leading, supporting, and developing a team of approximately seven employees Assigning work and following up on priorities Ensuring quality standards and delivery deadlines are met Helping the team resolve production and operational issues Acting as the primary point of contact for customers Maintaining clear communication with the Canadian leadership team Supporting and strengthening existing processes and procedures Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and workflow Promoting a safe and organized workplace Traveling occasionally to the main facility in Saint-Victor, Quebec What We Are Looking For Solid experience in production supervision, shop management, or a similar leadership role Experience in a manufacturing environment Ability to lead a small team with a practical, structured, and hands-on approach Strong leadership and problem-solving skills Good judgment, autonomy, and a strong sense of accountability Ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, and leadership Availability to attend training and occasional meetings in Canada Experience with fiberglass components or composite materials is an asset Ability to communicate in French is a strong asset Why Consider This Opportunity?
