Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kosher Department Manager in our World Class ShopRite of East Windsor to oversee the Kosher operations within our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a background in Kosher grocery retail. This role requires a proactive approach to team management, inventory control, and staff training to ensure a high standard of service and food quality. Duties Manage daily operations of the department, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality standards. Supervise all aspects of the Kosher department including grocery, frozen, deli, meat and dairy, as well as all outside vendors. Responsible for merchandising the department, such as displays and end caps. Maintain sanitation standards. Implement inventory control measures to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste. Collaborate with upper management to develop departmental goals and strategies for improvement. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring satisfaction with dining experiences. Qualifications Proven experience in Kosher retail. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Knowledge of inventory control practices and food safety regulations. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Previous experience in staff training is preferred but not mandatory. A passion for food preparation and delivering exceptional customer service is essential.
