An Assistant Retail Store Manager provides support to the Manager of a retail store, either an independent business or a store that is part of a large retail chain. May have primary responsibility for hiring and training retail sales staff. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. Supervises sales, warehouse, cleaning, maintenance and security staff and prepares work schedules. Responsible for resolving customer complaints.

An Assistant General Manager responsibilities include: Motivates, coaches and develops team Work in a fast-paced team driven atmosphere Interface with customers and provide an exceptional experience Perform all tasks related to opening and closing of store Scheduling, forecasting, labor analysis Food cost and inventory Fill in for Manager in all capacities when needed Assists with employee training Qualifications for the job: Open availability (including holidays, weekends, opening and closing shifts)
  • Required At least 2 years of restaurant management
  • Required Serve Safe Certification
  • Required Must have reliable transportation Must be able to maintain a reliable schedule
Education:
High school degree or equivalent Ability to lift 50 lbs. Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
Key Competencies:
Excellent Menu and product knowledge Able to communicate effectively with guests and crew Participate in all training programs Abilities to train and coach others
