Job Summary The Primavera Regency is seeking a reliable, organized, and motivated Assistant Operations Manager to join our management team. This is a hands-on position that combines administrative and financial responsibilities with banquet and event operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with numbers, and capable of taking a leadership role during weddings, banquets, corporate functions, and other special events. Key Responsibilities Bookkeeping & Administrative Support Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping and financial record keeping Organize invoices, receipts, deposits, payments, and other financial documents Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable Help maintain accurate records of business expenses and transactions Assist management with reports, paperwork, filing, and other administrative duties Maintain confidentiality when handling financial and employee information Payroll Support Assist with preparing and processing employee payroll Review employee hours, timecards, and attendance records Help verify payroll information for accuracy Maintain organized employee and payroll records Work with management to resolve timekeeping or payroll discrepancies Event Operations & Captain Responsibilities Serve as an Event Captain during weddings, banquets, corporate events, repasts, and other private functions Assist with overseeing event setup, execution, and breakdown Supervise and direct servers, bartenders, bussers, and banquet staff Review event details and ensure the banquet team is properly prepared Coordinate timing between the kitchen, service staff, management, vendors, and clients Ensure food and beverage service meets company standards Handle guest or client concerns professionally during events Help ensure events remain on schedule and run smoothly from beginning to end Assist senior management with daily venue operations as needed Qualifications Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant, banquet, office management, bookkeeping, or a related field preferred Basic bookkeeping and payroll knowledge preferred Strong organizational and time-management skills Comfortable working with numbers and maintaining accurate records Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to supervise and motivate a banquet team Professional appearance and customer-service mindset Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced event environment Basic computer skills; experience with payroll, accounting, Microsoft Office, or similar software is a plus Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when events require What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who can become a dependable part of our management team.
