Weekend availability is required. Candidates must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays, with shifts extending until 6:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays during our peak seasons. Additional scheduling flexibility is required during peak business periods, including a sixth workday when needed. Peak seasons run from April 1 through July 4 and again from September 20 through December 24. Overview Heritage Farm & Garden is seeking an energetic, customer-focused Front End Supervisor to lead our checkout and customer service operations. This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing cashiers, ensuring efficient front-end operations, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and supporting daily retail functions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, enjoys coaching team members, and takes pride in creating a welcoming experience for every customer. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily front-end operations, including cashier supervision, register management, and customer service, ensuring an efficient checkout process and exceptional customer experience. Train, coach, and develop staff while maintaining high performance standards. Manage cash handling procedures, register balancing, and daily deposits in accordance with company policies. Assist with employee scheduling, shift coverage, and daily workforce management. Support inventory control by monitoring product availability and coordinating replenishment with store management. Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient checkout area. Implement merchandising initiatives and promotional displays to maximize sales opportunities. Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and training new team members. Resolve customer concerns professionally and effectively while maintaining a positive shopping experience. Ensure company policies, operational procedures, and safety standards are consistently followed. Qualifications Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a retail environment. Strong customer service and problem-solving skills. Experience operating POS systems and handling cash transactions. Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced setting. Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Experience with scheduling, inventory management, merchandising, or retail operations preferred. Basic understanding of retail math, sales reporting, and cash reconciliation. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds as needed. Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus. $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
