Store Manager

Responsibilities Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating performance to foster a high-performing team. Oversee all aspects of store operations, including sales management, inventory control, merchandising, and cash handling procedures. Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Manage purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to ensure product availability and optimal inventory levels. Conduct employee orientation sessions and ongoing training to enhance team skills in customer service, POS systems, and retail math. Monitor store financials through budgeting, payroll management, bookkeeping, and sales analysis to maximize profitability. Maintain organized store environment by supervising stocking activities, merchandising displays, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Utilize effective communication skills to resolve customer issues promptly and foster positive relationships with clients and team members. Coordinate shift schedules and supervise daily operations to ensure smooth workflow during all hours of operation. Implement marketing initiatives locally within the store to attract new customers and promote special promotions or events. Qualifications Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with supervisory responsibilities. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities efficiently. Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities. Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management systems, POS technology, cash handling, and retail math. Experience in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding new employees, and developing training programs. Knowledge of merchandising techniques, pricing strategies, and promotional planning. Ability to handle administrative tasks such as payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and record keeping accurately. Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail in stock control and store presentation. Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends as needed for store coverage.
