Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Manager or Manager in Training, where you will play a pivotal role in driving store success through leadership, operational excellence, and exceptional customer service. This entry-to-mid level management position offers a vibrant environment for motivated individuals eager to develop their management skills and grow within a retail setting. You will be empowered to oversee daily store operations, lead a team, and ensure a seamless shopping experience for our customers. This paid position provides valuable hands-on experience in retail management, preparing you for future leadership roles. Responsibilities Assist in managing daily store operations, including sales, inventory control, and customer service standards. Support hiring, onboarding, and training new employees to foster a motivated and knowledgeable team. Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service, resolving issues efficiently, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Oversee cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and payroll processing with accuracy and integrity. Coordinate merchandising efforts, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to maximize sales opportunities. Supervise team members' schedules, shift management, and performance development to maintain a productive work environment. Implement inventory management practices including stock ordering, inventory control, and shrink reduction initiatives. Collaborate with marketing efforts to promote store promotions and community engagement activities. Requirements Proven experience in retail sales with supervisory or assistant manager responsibilities preferred. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members effectively. Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are highly valued. Demonstrated proficiency in managing POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and payroll processes. Knowledge of retail math including pricing strategies, sales management, budgeting, and inventory control. Experience with merchandising, stocking, purchasing, and store management procedures. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently with excellent organizational skills and time management. Previous experience in employee orientation, interviewing new candidates, training & development is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills including phone etiquette and customer service excellence.
