Assistant Store Manager

Retail Assistant Manager Pay Range:

$16.75-$19.25 an hour

Position Summary:

Operational responsibility and direction for the facility and staff in the absence of the Store Manager. Process customers of retail store/station in a manner that enhances the business and maintenance of the facility to support customer satisfaction and sales growth.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum one year experience as a Cliff's Local Market's Sales Associate or Shift Supervisor or two years retail store experience preferred, successful completion of all company sponsored RTO training. Candidate may also be required to successfully complete additional certifications for this position to include, but not limited to, ServSafe or equivalent Food Service Program, franchise-specific certification requirement (e.g. Subway) Alcohol Certification (ABC) and Tobacco Certification.

Major Accountabilities:

Direction and supervision of personnel on duty in the absence of the Store Manager. Accountable to the Store Manager. Daily posting of store reports, preparation of daily store deposits, transport the deposits to the bank (must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle) and merchandise inventory management, as needed. Policy and procedure enforcement, customer satisfaction, safety and security awareness. Responsible for fuel management, daily surveys and inventory management delivery accountability, as needed. Assist in store training and development of store Sales Associates and Shift Supervisors. Completion of tasks assigned by the Store Manager. Performance of routine store tasks/responsibilities the same as the Sales Associate. Must work a combination of day and evening shifts (at least 2 evening shifts per week) that overlap those of the Store Manager.
