Dispensary Store Manager In Training Position Summary The Dispensary Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily retail operations of the dispensary while ensuring compliance with all regulations. This leadership role drives sales performance, customer satisfaction, inventory management, employee development, and operational excellence. The Store Manager serves as the primary leader on-site, fostering a positive workplace culture while maintaining the highest standards of compliance, safety, and customer service. Key Responsibilities Store Operations Management Manage all day-to-day dispensary operations to ensure efficient and profitable business performance. Open and close the dispensary according to established procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming retail environment. Monitor store appearance, merchandising, and product displays. Ensure all operational policies and procedures are consistently followed. Address operational challenges and implement solutions to improve efficiency. Team Leadership & Development Recruit, train, and retain high-performing staff members. Supervise Floor Managers, Shift Leads, Budtenders, and Inventory personnel. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities. Foster a positive, inclusive, and customer-focused workplace culture. Manage employee disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans when necessary. Sales & Customer Experience Drive sales growth through effective team leadership and customer engagement strategies. Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained at all times. Resolve customer concerns and complaints professionally and promptly. Monitor sales metrics and implement strategies to achieve revenue goals. Promote customer loyalty programs and community engagement initiatives. Educate staff on product knowledge, cannabis consumption methods, and customer consultation techniques. Compliance & Regulatory Management Maintain strict adherence to all state, local, and company cannabis regulations. Monitor and enforce age verification procedures and customer purchase limits. Prepare for and participate in regulatory inspections and audits. Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by company. Inventory & Cash Management Oversee inventory receiving, storage, transfers, and reconciliation processes. Conduct regular inventory audits and investigate discrepancies. Manage inventory levels to minimize shortages and overstock situations. Monitor product expiration dates and product quality standards. Ensure accurate cash handling, deposits, and cash reconciliation procedures. Implement loss prevention measures and inventory controls. Security & Safety Ensure compliance with all dispensary security protocols. Monitor surveillance systems and incident reporting procedures. Maintain a safe environment for employees, customers, and vendors. Respond appropriately to emergency situations and security concerns. Enforce workplace safety standards and procedures. Qualifications Required Retail management experience. Strong understanding of retail operations, sales management, and customer service. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must meet all state requirements for employment within the cannabis industry. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field. Cannabis industry experience. Experience with POS software platforms. Experience managing high-volume retail operations. Knowledge of cannabis products, strains, consumption methods, and regulations.
