The Production Manager oversees daily operation of the Used Tube department, including scheduling, inventory, work orders and technicians' assignments. This position owns daily projects execution, technician performance and scheduling, and parts coordination. This position has a very close connection with sales, engineers, technicians, logistics, and customers to align output and demand.
Role & Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily production of the department, including scheduling, work orders, and technician assignments while controlling labor cost
  • Develop and maintain daily and weekly technician schedule
  • Monitor labor efficiency, work order aging, and turnaround time by technician
  • Balance sold projects and to be sold machines refurbishing schedule
  • Coordinate field service activities and shop workloads
  • Lead regular team meetings and performance reviews
  • Oversee parts availability in coordination with the parts department
  • Match technical skills, certifications, and experience to equipment type and repair scope
  • Identity training gaps, tooling issues, or process barriers impacting productivity
  • Support continues improvement of service methods without compromising safety and quality
  • Ensures accurate and complete documentation in Salesforce and Sage
  • Generate and deliver service reports for leadership
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED 5+ years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance 2+ years in a supervisory or management role Strong mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery, hydraulics and electrical systems Valid driver's license Experience with service management software or CRM systems
Skills &Competencies:
Leadership and team management Strong diagnostic and technical understanding Customer service and conflict resolution Financial and budget management Planning, scheduling, and prioritization Clear written and verbal communication
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Work performed in an industrial warehouse Exposure to noise, grease, and varying temperatures Ability to walk shop floors and job sites as needed Occasional lifting, carry, push, and pull of up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time throughout the day Frequently required to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, reach and climb ladders or stairs This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead impactful projects while fostering a culture of innovation, safety, and continuous growth.
