Job Description
Fabrication Shop Construction Supervisor We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Shop Construction Supervisor to oversee daily fabrication shop and field mechanical construction activities. This position will lead skilled trades teams while ensuring mechanical fabrication and installation work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to quality standards . Key Responsibilities Supervise and mentor fabricators, pipefitters, welders, and mechanical installers Coordinate daily work assignments, manpower, materials, and equipment Oversee fabrication of piping, ductwork, and mechanical support systems Support field installation of HVAC, chilled water, condenser water, piping, and related mechanical systems Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, specifications, and fabrication details Coordinate schedules and field activities with Project Managers, engineers, and contractors Monitor productivity, workmanship, and QA/QC compliance Conduct safety meetings and enforce OSHA and jobsite safety requirements Support system testing, commissioning, and project turnover Qualifications 5+ years of mechanical construction or fabrication experience 2+ years in a Foreman, Supervisor, or similar leadership position Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping fabrication, mechanical assembly, and/or ductwork Experience in data center, industrial, or commercial mechanical construction preferred Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills High school diploma/GED required; trade or technical education preferred OSHA 10 certification required Ability to work in both fabrication shop and field environments and lift up to 50 lbs.
