Deburr Department Manager

We are seeking a results-driven Deburr Department Manager to lead our finishing operations. This pivotal leadership role ensures that our precision machined components meet the highest quality standards before they reach our customers.

The Opportunity:

As the Deburr Department Manager, you will oversee a dedicated team of finishers and technicians, driving excellence in surface preparation and final inspection. You will be responsible for transforming raw, machined parts into burr-free, high-precision products.

Responsibilities include:

Precision Finishing:

Use hand tools, pneumatic grinders, and specialized machinery to remove burrs and sharp edges from metal and plastic components.

Team Leadership:

Supervise, mentor, and train the deburring team to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and production standards

Process Optimization:

Develop and implement effective deburring methodologies, including hand-finishing and automated machine processes, to improve productivity and reduce cycle times.

Experience:

5+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or lead role specifically within a deburr or metal finishing environment.

Education:

High school or equivalent (Preferred).

Technical Proficiency:

Expert knowledge of deburring tools (hand files, grinders, sanders) and specialized equipment (tumblers, bead blasters, laser engraver).

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and the communication skills necessary to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
