Job Description
Overview We are looking for an energetic Smoke Shop Manager to lead our retail team and support store success. In this role, you will manage daily operations, deliver excellent customer service, and oversee overall store performance. Your leadership will help the team meet sales goals, maintain efficient operations, and create a welcoming environment for customers and staff. This is a great opportunity for a motivated leader to make an impact in a fast-paced retail setting. Duties Lead the retail team by hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating staff to promote engagement and productivity. Oversee daily store operations, including inventory, merchandising, pricing, and POS system use to improve sales and efficiency. Maintain strong customer service by responding to questions, resolving concerns quickly, and supporting a positive shopping experience. Manage inventory control, including restocking, stock counts, and purchasing to keep products available. Carry out marketing and promotional efforts to increase store traffic and sales. Handle payroll, bookkeeping, cash handling, budgeting, and shift scheduling to support smooth store operations. Build a team-focused workplace through clear communication, training, development, and motivating leadership. Requirements Proven retail management experience, including sales team leadership and operational oversight. Strong skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and staff training. Solid understanding of retail math, including sales management, pricing, inventory control, and basic financial calculations. Experience with POS systems, cash handling, merchandising, and inventory management tools. Ability to supervise staff in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent customer service. Excellent communication skills and confidence leading coaching and management conversations. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in bookkeeping, payroll, scheduling, and daily operations. Specialty retail is a plus, but strong retail sales management experience is required. Ability to manage multiple priorities while leading operational tasks such as restocking and merchandising.
