Job Description
Overview We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Sales Manager/General Manager to lead our retail operations with passion and strategic vision. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily store activities, driving sales growth, managing a diverse team, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of retail management, and a proactive approach to business development. Duties Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve and surpass sales targets through effective coaching, training, and performance management Develop and implement strategic plans to increase store profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to maximize sales opportunities Manage day-to-day store operations including cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) systems, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks Conduct interviews, employee orientation sessions, and ongoing training to build a skilled and motivated workforce Supervise staff scheduling, shift management, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards Foster a welcoming environment by delivering excellent customer service and resolving escalated issues promptly Qualifications Proven experience in retail sales management or as an assistant manager with supervisory responsibilities Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively across multiple functions such as merchandising, cashiering, inventory control, and customer service Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, recruiting, employee development, and payroll administration Knowledge of retail math including pricing strategies, budgeting, and sales analysis Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management software, and retail marketing techniques Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining high standards of cashiering and cash handling procedures Organizational skills with attention to detail in bookkeeping, stock management, and store maintenance Experience in supervising retail environments such as grocery stores or general merchandise outlets is preferred Strong time management skills coupled with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving and decision-making Join us as a Sales Manager/General Manager where your leadership will shape the success of our store.
