Job Description
Job Overview We are hiring a part-time manager for our gift, apothecary, and fresh food shop. We sell high-quality items grown or made by people in Cherokee County, OK. The shop focuses on beautiful displays and fair, reasonable pricing. The shop is supported by a Non-Profit focused on aiding local small business start-ups. Responsibilities Maintain staff schedules and day-to-day work Monitor safety, cleanliness, and health standards Keep merchandising standards high so products look their best Maintain vendor, client, and donor records and relations Work at least one regular shift per week on the sales floor Help with daily operations including customer service, cash handling, and store upkeep Build and manage donor relationships and in-kind donations for the Non-Profit Requirements - Reliable and able to work 15-30 hours per week Experience in retail, POS systems, cash handling Merchandising with careful attention to detail and pride in how the store looks Good with people and comfortable working independently Honest, trustworthy, and committed to running a clean, well-organized shop. Physically able to stand for several hours, lift moderate weights and help with store tasks High level of integrity and the ability to learn and execute directives from ownership and vendors Because this is a new business, responsibilities and roles may change as the business develops. We will work together to adjust duties fairly. This is hands-on role in a smaller shop where your work will be clearly visible and your leadership will directly contribute to making a positive impact in the community.
