Job Summary:
REQUIRED
  • Associate's degree with two years progressively responsible experience in administration, accounting or statistics OR any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and formal training.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Oregon driver's license within 90 days of hire date.
Flagger certification required within 90 days of hire.
PREFERRED
  • Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, accounting, or related field and two years of supervisory or program management experience.
Specific knowledge or experience related to assigned department.
JOB DUTIES
  • Manage the office of the Road department, which includes direct department administrative activities ensuring compliance to policy and procedures; coordinate workflow; participate in establishing new policies, procedures and organizational goals primarily for the administrative functions of the department and secondarily for maintenance functions.
  • Oversees Federal and State CDL requirements, including DOT drug testing program, hearing, and medical certification requirements for department.
  • Assist in annual budget preparation. Research, compile and verify data. Prepare financial reports, revenue estimates and forecasts. Maintain accounts payable to general ledger. Coordinate and develop accounting systems; monitor transactions and fund balances; make corrections and cost accounting entries. Maintain audit controls, provide data for auditors.
  • Establish and maintain record keeping systems.
Independently prepare correspondence, reports, statistical and financial data and other materials of an important or confidential nature often requiring research information. Maintain various project related records. Input cost data into computer pertaining to projects, estimate costs for projects, prepare contract documents and specifications, quotes, RFP's etc. Monitor contracts and maintain all pertinent contract requirements and files. Assure accuracy of data.

$3,716.00 to $5,490.00 per Month Depending on Experience, Depending on Qualifications
