Job Description:
Store ManagerScout Northwest Trading Co. Lincoln City, OregonScout Northwest Trading Co. is looking for a Store Manager to help lead our next chapter.

Scout is not your average retail store. We are a locally owned Northwest lifestyle shop located at the Lincoln City Outlets, featuring apparel, local goods, gifts, axe throwing, drinks, and products that celebrate Oregon culture. Some of what we sell is created by our own team. Some comes from local and regional makers we love. All of it is meant to feel fun, thoughtful, and memorable.

We are growing, and this is a pivotal time for our brand. Scout has built strong momentum, and we are looking for the right person to join our team and be part of the next chapter. This store is part of a bigger vision: creating a unique shopping and experience destination for locals, tourists, outdoor families, and anyone who loves the Pacific Northwest.

We are not just hiring someone to watch the store. We are looking for a leader, builder, and creative teammate.

About the RoleThe Store Manager will help lead day-to-day operations at Scout while also helping grow the brand, improve the customer experience, support the team, and keep the store moving forward.

The right person does not need to have years of traditional retail management experience. That can be taught. What matters more is leadership, ownership, creativity, follow-through, and the ability to make people feel welcome.

This role is ideal for someone who likes variety, enjoys people, has good style and product instincts, and wants to be part of building something special.

What Youll DoLead and support the Scout teamCreate a welcoming, fun, and high-energy customer experienceHelp merchandise the store so products look great and sell wellAssist with product creation, product selection, and new ideasHelp manage inventory, displays, restocking, and store organizationSupport axe throwing operations and in-store experiencesTrain team members on service, sales, and store standardsHelp grow average ticket, customer engagement, and repeat visitsWork with ownership on promotions, events, local partnerships, and seasonal opportunitiesKeep the store clean, sharp, organized, and ready for busy tourist trafficBring ideas to the table and help turn good ideas into actionWho Were Looking ForWe are looking for someone who is:

A natural leaderCreative and energeticGood with peopleOrganized enough to keep things movingPositive, calm, and dependableExcited about building a brandComfortable giving direction and holding standardsA team player who jumps in where neededInterested in apparel, gifts, local products, outdoor lifestyle, or Oregon Coast cultureWilling to learn new things, including product creation, merchandising, events, and systemsRetail experience is helpful, but it is not required. We would rather hire the right leader with the right attitude than someone with a perfect retail rsum but no spark.

What Makes Scout DifferentScout is part store, part local brand, part experience. We sell products, but we are also creating memories for people visiting Lincoln City. A customer might come in for a hoodie, throw axes with their family, discover a local maker, grab a drink, and leave with something that reminds them of the Oregon Coast.

We want Scout to feel personal, creative, and alive. That means our manager needs to care about the details: how the store looks, how customers are greeted, what products are featured, what the team is excited about, and how we keep improving.

This Is a Great Fit If YouLike building things, not just maintaining themEnjoy working in a fun, fast-moving environmentHave an eye for products, displays, and customer experienceWant your ideas to matterAre comfortable leading peopleCan balance creativity with accountabilityCare about small business, local brands, and communityWant to be part of something that is growingThis Is Probably Not a Great Fit If YouYou only want a clock-in, clock-out jobYou do not like interacting with customersYou need every day to be exactly the sameYou are uncomfortable taking ownershipYou avoid hard conversations or team accountabilityYou are not interested in helping grow a brandWhy This Role MattersScout is entering an exciting new season. We have momentum, a strong customer base, new products, new ideas, and a bigger vision taking shape. We need a manager who can help us take the next step.

If you are creative, dependable, people-focused, and excited by the idea of helping build a unique Oregon Coast brand, we would love to talk.

How to ApplyPlease send us your rsum and a short note telling us why this role sounds interesting to you. We care more about who you are, how you lead, and what excites you than whether your background checks every traditional retail box. recblid rpx3k6gli30pdzplmbmysaa9tm32kk
