May have primary responsibility for hiring and training retail sales staff. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. Supervises sales, warehouse, cleaning, maintenance and security staff and prepares work schedules. Responsible for resolving customer complaints.

Retail Store Operations & Sales Develop retail management knowledge and experience to support sales plans and company objectives. Drive sales by identifying opportunities and communicating them to the Store Director. Create emotional connections with customers and the store team, enhancing sales and engagement. Spends majority of time in the retail store, actively participating in daily operations. Partner with the Store Director to ensure flawless execution of operational policies, procedures, and brand standards. Proactively monitor store scheduling and controllable expenses with the Store Director. Maintain store safety standards, identifying and resolving maintenance issues as needed. Leadership & People Management Communicate customer feedback, bestsellers, business trends, and recommendations to the Store Director. Lead by example, coaching, developing, mentoring, and inspiring the team to enhance store performance. Support and grow sales associates, encourage teamwork, and retain talent through a development and teaching-focused environment. Customer Service Create an inspirational and motivating work environment that reflects the brand's integrity. Develop customer relationships through interaction and feedback. Act as an ambassador for the Tandy Leather brand. Build the Tandy Leather brand by consistently executing brand standards and enhancing the retail experience. Continually coach and develop the team to ensure customers receive exceptional service. Leathercrafting & Product Knowledge Stay adept at leathercrafting skills through continuous practice and staying updated on new trends. Teach store employees and customers Tandy leathercrafting techniques, ensuring they are knowledgeable brand ambassadors. Continuously learn about Tandy leather products to provide informed recommendations based on customer needs.QUALIFICATIONS
Capability to step into a Store Director role upon a Store Director vacancy within a single store location or local market. Demonstrates expertise in retail store operations. High school diploma or equivalent work experience. Customer service and/or retail sales experience. Physical ability to be on the sales floor for extended periods, move and handle merchandise and fixtures, and perform all job functions. Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Strong teamwork, passion, integrity, drive, and accountability. Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking skills to deliver operational components of the store. Demonstrated success in achieving sales goals and providing excellent customer service. Knowledge or skills in leathercrafting are a plus. Experience in retail merchandising, marketing, and operations is a plus.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
