An Assistant Retail Store Manager provides support to the Manager of a retail store, either an independent business or a store that is part of a large retail chain. May have primary responsibility for hiring and training retail sales staff. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. Supervises sales, warehouse, cleaning, maintenance and security staff and prepares work schedules. Responsible for resolving customer complaints.

Assistant Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervises, guides, and audits day-to-day activities of the store and its employees Ensures the store is always managed efficiently and professionally Trains, guides, and delegates responsibilities to staff personal Pursues sales growth and strives to meet or exceeds daily, weekly, and monthly sales plan Maintains and enforces company standards regarding selling, customer service, merchandising, loss prevention and operational activities Demonstrates knowledge of merchandise, current marketing campaigns and in-store promotions Achieve personal and store sales goals by applying sound customer service and sales protocol Maintain a positive and constructive communication with the staff Become familiar with products, brands, and prices and make recommendations of products, including their features and benefits, to suit customers' needs Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 2 years in a fast-paced retail management position, or other relevant work experience Proven record of accomplishment of leading a team to achieve sales and customer service targets Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Flexible availability to work during peak retail hours such as nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays High school diploma or equivalent; college degree or equivalent work experience preferred Skills Proficient with basic technology (POS system, & Microsoft Office programs) Excellent written and verbal communication Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks Ability to react under pressure and use good judgment in ambiguous situations Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to 8 hours a day Bending, rotating, and reaching conducive to a retail environment and to receiving, pricing, and stocking merchandiseJob Type:
