Job Description

Perk Valley Pet is a locally owned, nutrition-focused pet specialty retailer in Collegeville PA dedicated to helping pets live healthier lives through proper nutrition, education, and exceptional customer service. We are seeking a full-time Store Manager to run daily operations, lead and develop a team of Assistant Managers and Sales Associates, oversee projects, and ensure a positive experience for both customers and staff. This role is ideal for an experienced retail leader who excels at organization, accountability, coaching, and team development. Monday-Wednesday:
9:00 AM•6:00
PM Thursday-Friday:
9:00 AM•7:00
PM Saturday:
9:00 AM•5:00
PM Sunday:
11:00 AM•4:00 PM Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership and Operations Management Oversee daily store operations and ensure smooth execution of all processes Lead, coach, and develop Assistant Managers and Sales Associates Delegate projects and tasks to management and staff members Monitor completion of assigned responsibilities and follow up as needed Train new employees and oversee ongoing employee development Foster a positive, productive, and team-oriented work environment Administrative Responsibilities Track key metrics, run and review operational and sales reports Maintain store standards and policy and procedure compliance Assist with implementing new processes and operational improvements Utilize Point of Sale system and other apps to manage store operations Customer Experience Deliver exceptional customer service Assist customers with product recommendations and education Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently Support the company's commitment to pet health and nutrition education Qualifications Previous retail management experience Strong leadership and team development skills Experience managing employee performance and accountability Strong computer proficiency and ability to learn new software systems Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Preference for pet industry experience and pet nutrition knowledge
