Shift Leader

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Shift Leader to join our team and drive excellence in daily operations at Doolittle's Roadside Creamery and Doolittle's Diner and Cafe. Responsibilities Lead and motivate team members to achieve sales goals and deliver outstanding customer service. Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system management. Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to ensure product availability and presentation standards are met. Assist in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new employees to foster a high-performing team. Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints efficiently, and ensure a positive shopping experience. Monitor sales performance, manage pricing strategies, and implement promotional activities to boost sales. Maintain organizational standards by supervising cashiering duties, bookkeeping tasks, payroll processing, and store cleanliness. Skills Strong leadership abilities with previous supervisory or assistant management experience in retail or grocery settings. Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff and engage customers effectively. Proficiency in retail math, cash handling, inventory management, and POS systems. Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable for serving diverse customer bases. Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, merchandising, and marketing strategies to maximize store performance. Effective time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts. Knowledge of retail sales techniques, store management practices, budgeting, and employee orientation processes.
