As an Operations Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in driving store performance, motivating staff, and maintaining operational standards that align with company goals. Duties Supervise daily store activities, including sales floor operations, inventory management, and customer interactions to ensure optimal performance. Lead and motivate a team of employees through effective training, coaching, and development initiatives to foster a high-performing work environment. Oversee employee orientation and conduct interviews to recruit qualified candidates who align with store values and operational needs. Manage payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and cash handling procedures accurately and efficiently. Coordinate purchasing, pricing strategies, and merchandising efforts to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining inventory control. Ensure compliance with POS (Point of Sale) systems, sales management protocols, and store policies. Handle customer inquiries with professionalism using phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills. Monitor store safety protocols, supervise shift management, and oversee cashiering duties to ensure smooth operations. Implement marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase foot traffic and sales performance. Maintain organizational standards through effective stock replenishment, stocking procedures, and inventory audits. Experience Proven supervisory or assistant manager experience within retail environments or grocery stores. Demonstrated success in managing retail sales, team leadership, and operational functions such as inventory control and merchandising. Strong communication skills with the ability to conduct interviews, employee orientation sessions, and training programs effectively. Experience with payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and cash handling procedures. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse customer bases. Familiarity with POS systems, retail math calculations (pricing, discounts), and sales management tools is essential. Prior experience in supervising staff within fast-paced retail settings such as grocery stores or electronics outlets is highly desirable. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while demonstrating excellent time management skills.
