Job Description

About the Role Nicola USA prints artwork on personal care packaging for major consumer brands. Our Greer plant runs three automated screen printing lines across three shifts, with robotics handling sorting, pick and place, and pack-out. We are adding more lines before the end of the year. We are looking for a Production Shift Leader to run second shift. You own how that shift performs: units out the door, quality, safety, and the people on the floor with you. You will work closely with our first and third shift leaders and you will report to plant leadership. What You'll Do Own second shift from startup to shutdown: output against the daily target, quality, safety, and how the crew works. Open the shift with a clear plan. Staffing by line, what happened on the shift before you, what needs watching, and what the shift is aiming to produce. Track output against target through the shift. Run first response when a line goes down. Clear the simple faults yourself. Run and oversee changeovers and first-piece verification so every new run starts clean.
Hold print quality on spec:
ink coverage, correct AOI settings, and in-process checks that actually happen. Coordinate workflow across the lines. See the bottleneck coming, whether it is pack-out, materials, or staffing, and move on it early. Step in wherever the shift needs hands: operating, packing, or troubleshooting. Be the first point of contact for your crew during the shift. Questions, call-outs, conflicts, and anything that needs a decision before morning. Train and develop your people, and build enough depth that no line or changeover depends on one person being in the building. Hold the standard on safety and on the floor rules that keep people focused and safe. Coach first, and escalate when something goes past coaching. Keep accurate shift logs and production records, and post a clear end-of-shift handoff so the next shift starts informed. Work with the other shift leaders and the QA lead so all three shifts run the job the same way. Carry out the routine maintenance and cleaning assigned to your shift, and flag parts running low before they cost you a line. Support installation and start-up of new lines as we expand. What We're Looking For Experience leading a crew in a manufacturing or production plant. Shift leader, line lead, or working supervisor. If you have been leading informally and are ready for the title, say so in your application. Hands-on production background. You know what good work looks like because you have done it. Mechanical comfort. Ownership. When something goes wrong on your shift, you own it and you fix it. Comfort managing by numbers. Units per hour, downtime, and scrap, and the ability to explain what moved and why. Clear communication, written and verbal. Direction your crew can act on, feedback people can hear, and handoff notes the next shift can use. Organization. You can track production, manage staffing, and juggle priorities without dropping something. A real commitment to second shift hours. Dependable and on time, every day. The judgment to coach before you discipline, and the consistency to treat people the same way twice. Screen printing experience is a plus and not required. We will train you on our process. High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training in manufacturing or industrial technology is a plus. Shift 2nd Shift, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, Monday through Friday, with flexibility for coverage, installs, and overlap with the shifts on either side of you. Compensation $30 to $34 per hour, depending on experience. What to Expect The plant floor runs hot and can be noisy. This is an on-your-feet role with lifting, reaching, and a full shift spent out on the lines. We are growing. We anticipate more lines this year with the addition of new customer volume starting late this year.

$30.00 - $34.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Application Question(s): How many years have you spent leading or supervising a team in manufacturing or production setting?
