Handle customer inquiries with professionalism using excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to resolve issues promptly. Conduct inventory management activities such as stock replenishment, purchasing decisions, pricing adjustments, and stock organization. Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions, cash handling, and sales reporting while maintaining accuracy in cash register operations. Implement operational policies related to safety standards, loss prevention, and store cleanliness to create a secure shopping environment. Requirements Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry with supervising experience. Strong knowledge of retail math including basic math skills necessary for bookkeeping, inventory management, and sales analysis. Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively. Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing techniques, recruiting strategies, and training & development programs. Familiarity with POS systems, inventory control procedures, merchandising standards, and operational management practices. Ability to manage budgets, perform basic bookkeeping tasks, and handle payroll processes accurately. Previous experience in grocery or retail store environments is preferred; experience with cashiering and cash handling is essential. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while managing time effectively across multiple responsibilities.
