This position is eligible for annual performance and compensation reviews, with opportunities for salary increases based on performance and organizational considerations. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee daily thrift store operations. Supervise, schedule, train, and support employees and volunteers. Create a positive, professional, and customer-focused environment. Oversee pricing, merchandising, displays, promotions, and inventory rotation. Manage donation receiving, sorting, processing, and large-item pickups. Oversee point-of-sale procedures, cash handling, daily reconciliation, and store records. Monitor sales performance, expenses, supplies, and operational needs. Maintain appropriate inventory and loss-prevention practices. Develop and manage the store's social media presence, including creating and posting engaging content that promotes merchandise, sales, special events, donation needs, volunteer opportunities, and other store activities. Plan and coordinate marketing and promotional efforts to increase store visibility, customer traffic, donations, and sales. Maintain consistent, professional messaging that positively represents the store and its nonprofit mission. Capture appropriate photos and create promotional content for social media, advertising, and community outreach. Monitor social media engagement and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner, in accordance with organizational policies. Build positive relationships with customers, donors, volunteers, businesses, and community partners. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements. Prepare operational reports and communicate store needs and concerns to leadership. Assist with nonprofit events and community activities as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Retail, resale, thrift store, customer service, nonprofit, or supervisory experience preferred. Previous experience supervising employees and/or volunteers strongly preferred. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and customer service skills. Experience with cash handling, point-of-sale systems, merchandising, pricing, or inventory management preferred. Experience with social media platforms, digital marketing, content creation, or retail promotions preferred. Ability to create engaging, professional content and identify creative opportunities to market merchandise, sales, events, and the store's community impact. Basic computer skills, including email, word processing, and spreadsheets. Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record when driving is required for assigned duties. Ability to perform the physical requirements of a retail and donation-processing environment, including standing for extended periods and regularly moving merchandise weighing up to approximately 50 pounds, with reasonable accommodation when applicable.
