Job Description
Critical Path Repair Solutions (CPRS) is seeking an experienced Weld Shop Supervisor to lead our welding operations. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone with a strong background in steam turbine repair, welding, and fabrication. Our primary welding work involves steam turbine diaphragm repairs, along with other turbine components, pipe welding, specialty repairs, tooling, equipment repairs, and general fabrication. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate daily weld shop operations and personnel. Provide hands-on technical support for turbine welding and repair projects. Ensure work meets applicable weld procedures, codes, quality standards, and customer requirements. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and repair specifications. Support TIG, Stick, and MIG welding, with TIG being our primary process. Fabricate tooling, fixtures, stands, and other shop equipment as needed. Coordinate with Quality, Machining, Inspection, and Operations to keep projects on schedule. Maintain a safe, organized, and productive weld shop. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of steam turbine industry experience. Strong welding and fabrication background with turbine component repair experience. Steam turbine diaphragm repair experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of welding codes, procedures, materials, and quality requirements. Proficient in TIG with experience in Stick and MIG welding. Strong blueprint reading, fabrication, troubleshooting, and leadership skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Previous supervisory or lead welding experience preferred. We are looking for a well-rounded, working supervisor who can lead from the floor, solve problems, maintain high safety and quality standards, and help CPRS continue expanding its turbine repair capabilities.
