In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, manage sales teams, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain inventory control. Your leadership will inspire your team to achieve sales goals, provide outstanding shopping experiences, and uphold the store's standards of excellence. This position offers a dynamic environment where your management skills and retail expertise will directly impact store performance and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the retail sales team, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating staff performance to foster a motivated and high-performing environment Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) systems management, and shift management Manage inventory levels through effective stock control, merchandising, stocking, and inventory management strategies to optimize product availability and reduce shrinkage Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets while ensuring excellent customer service standards are maintained Conduct employee orientation sessions, ongoing training & development programs, and manage scheduling to ensure optimal staffing levels during peak hours Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure a positive shopping experience for all visitors Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, payroll processing, budgeting responsibilities, and operational reports to support store financial health Experience Proven management experience in retail environments with a focus on furniture is preferred; experience in supervising sales teams within the retail industry is highly valued Strong background in retail sales management with demonstrated success in achieving sales goals and managing operational processes Familiarity with POS systems, inventory control software, merchandising tools, and basic math skills necessary for cash handling and pricing strategies Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases Prior experience in employee recruitment, interviewing candidates, training staff members on customer service standards, and supervising team activities is essential Knowledge of retail industry best practices including inventory management, merchandising techniques, operational management, budgeting, and store safety protocols Demonstrated leadership abilities with effective managerial communication skills to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment Join us as a Furniture Store Manager where your leadership will shape an exceptional shopping destination!
