Responsibilities Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including sales, inventory control, and customer service. Supervise and motivate retail staff to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer experiences. Conduct employee orientation, training, and development to ensure team members are knowledgeable about products, policies, and procedures. Manage scheduling, shift management, and delegation of tasks to optimize store productivity. Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to maximize sales opportunities. Handle customer inquiries with professionalism using phone etiquette and excellent communication skills. Support recruiting efforts through interviewing candidates and participating in hiring processes. Maintain accurate bookkeeping, payroll processing, cash handling, and POS system operations to ensure operational efficiency. Requirements Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail or grocery industry. Strong leadership skills with supervisory experience managing sales teams or retail staff. Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers. Proficiency with POS systems, inventory management software, and basic math for cash handling and pricing calculations. Demonstrated ability in negotiation, customer service excellence, and operational management. Knowledge of retail math, merchandising principles, stock control, and inventory management practices. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining organizational skills.
