Under the direction of the Supervisor, The Cleaning Lead will perform cleaning tasks and will be responsible for coordinating and communicating staff rotations, training lower skilled cleaners, and ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with site standards. This role acts as point of contact between cleaning technicians, site management, and engineering teams, and supports the Supervisor by tracking and reporting on shift quality, productivity, and schedule adherence. Employees in this role are required to always wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed for the task and environment. Required PPE may include but is not limited to nitrile or latex gloves, glove liners, plastic aprons, blue boot covers, steel-toe or composite-toe footwear (ankle height), hard hats, safety vests, safety glasses, hair nets, beard nets, hoods, cleanroom suits, and any other required personal protective equipment.

Required:
- Must be 18 years of age or older

- Valid Driver's license Team Training & Task Coordination Serve as a peer lead to a team of cleaning technicians across assigned areas.
Distribute and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly task assignments based on schedules and priorities established by the Supervisor. Monitor task completion and notify the Supervisor of coverage gaps Provide task clarification and workflow guidance to team members in alignment with Supervisor-provided instructions when the Supervisor is not immediately available. While disciplinary authority is not given to this position, it is expected that the Lead will report performance issues and policy violations to the Supervisor. Provide on-the-job training, guidance, and task-related guidance to ensure consistent performance and adherence to cleaning protocol. Quality Control & Compliance Conduct routine inspections of cleaning activities to ensure quality standards are met. Verify completion of scheduled tasks such as trash removal, sanitation, floor care, and specialized cleaning. Ensure compliance with safety policies, including proper handling of chemicals, equipment, and PPE. Monitor adherence to established procedures and remind team members of required practices; escalate compliance concerns to the Supervisor Coordinate and prioritize, per supervisor direction, project-based cleaning tasks such as: Cobweb removal, elevated work including Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWP) use if required, and others as requested. Liaise with engineering or facility management for tasks requiring approval or oversight. Ensure proper use and maintenance of cleaning tools, ladders, and equipment. Inventory & Supplies Management Monitor and maintain adequate inventory levels of cleaning supplies (paper goods, soap, tack mats, shoe covers, etc.). Coordinate restocking and ensure materials are readily available for technicians. Track usage and report supply needs to management. Safety & Risk Management Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all staff follow site safety guidelines. Identify, report immediately to supervisor and help mitigate potential hazards in cleaning processes and work areas. Support incident reporting and help enforce corrective action processes issued by management.
