Job Description
- Overview
- At Office Depot, the Retail Store Supervisor role is a full-time position that focuses on providing comprehensive solutions to our customers across various areas, including Technology, Services, Furniture, and Print offerings.
Primary Responsibilities:
Sales and Service Excellence:
+ Foster a culture that builds trust, brand loyalty and exceptional client service delivery. + Utilizes and understands the selling program to promote the sale of the best solution as well as additional product and/or services solutions. Maintains awareness of planned advertisements and promotions. Provides exceptional customer service by educating customers about Office Depot products and services. + Effectively utilizes communication tools to request assistance anywhere on the sales floor, and to coordinate the appropriate service, and customer engagement throughout the store. + Able to evaluate the customer's needs to determine the total solution.Leadership and Team Development:
+ Provide guidance, direction, and ongoing training to store associates, including Print Services associates. + Facilitate training sessions on the business model and the holistic service offering for clients/customers. + Observe, coach, and provide feedback to enhance associate proficiency and build a culture of trust and brand loyalty. + Provide feedback to the General Manager regarding store associates' performance, certification(s), and competencies. + Other responsibilities as deemed necessaryOperational Efficiency:
+ Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to established procedures, deadlines, and visual merchandising standards. + Identify areas for process improvement and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies. + As a leader in the store, ensure regular loss prevention compliance. + Assist the General Manager in providing guidance and effective coaching to associates for improved performance. + Contribute to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, Average Order Value (AOV), and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.External Key Carrier Responsibilities:
+ Maintain the safety and security of the building and associates during the absence of other managers. + In partnership with all associates, ensure regular loss prevention compliance. + Perform opening and closing responsibilities, including activation and deactivation of the store's alarm system, cash handling, and daily store balancing. + Fulfill responsibilities associated with External Key Carrier designationEducation & Experience:
- + High school diploma or equivalent preferred; coursework in Business, Retail Management, or related field a plus + 1-3 years related experience; retail, sales, customer-facing, and/or supervisory experience preferred + Knowledgeable in Technology and Print, including use of relevant equipment and POS systems

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule:
- The salary range for this role is $15 per hour to $16 per hour, however all state and local minimum wages will be complied with, resulting in a possible adjustment to the salary range displayed.
