$47.83 - $71.75 per hour The University of Vermont Medical Center is seeking an experienced and visionary Sterile Processing Department (SPD) Manager to lead our SPD operations across two campuses. This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic healthcare leader to drive operational excellence, foster a highly engaged workforce, strengthen partnerships with clinical teams, and ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. As the SPD Manager, you will oversee a complex, 24/7 operation that supports surgical and clinical services throughout the organization. Working closely with Operating Room leadership, physicians, nursing leaders, and other clinical partners, you will ensure the consistent delivery of sterile instruments and equipment while advancing quality, efficiency, regulatory compliance, and employee development.Required Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.Certifications:
Certified Registered Central Service Technician ( CRCST ) certification required at time of hire. Current Vermont Registered Nurse license is a plus. Experience Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience required. Healthcare and hospital leadership experience strongly preferred.
