Job Description

Overview Kitsap Golf & Country Club is a private, member-owned club committed to delivering a high-level golf experience supported by strong daily operations and a team-first culture. The First Assistant Golf Professional plays a critical leadership role in executing day-to-day golf operations, supporting member engagement, and driving consistency across tournaments, merchandising, and service standards. This position is designed for a motivated professional who wants meaningful responsibility, visibility with leadership, and a clear path for growth within a well-structured club environment. Experience Required PGA Associate or PGA Member preferred 2-5 years of experience in a private club or high-volume golf operation Demonstrated experience in tournament operations and golf shop management Strong understanding of merchandising principles and inventory management Experience supervising or leading staff in a service-driven environment Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills A self-starter mindset with the ability to take ownership and drive results Essential Responsibilities Lead and execute daily golf operations, ensuring a consistent and high-quality member experience Coordinate and manage tournament operations, including planning, execution, scoring, and follow-up Oversee and elevate golf shop operations, including merchandising, inventory control, and visual standards Deliver exceptional member service and build strong relationships with a diverse membership base Assist in staff supervision, training, and scheduling to maintain accountability and performance standards Support teaching programs, clinics, and player development initiatives Maintain clear and professional communication with members, staff, and club leadership Ensure adherence to club policies, procedures, and operational standards Collaborate with the Head Professional and leadership team on strategic initiatives and continuous improvement Benefits Competitive salary and performance-based bonus opportunities PGA dues and education support Health and wellness benefits Playing and practice privileges Merchandise discounts Opportunities for advancement within a stable and growing club environment Direct exposure to club leadership and involvement in decision-making processes
