Music & Arts seeks a Music Sales Manager to lead retail sales and lesson growth in our music-focused store. You'll coach and motivate a sales team, set and track goals, and deliver an exceptional customer experience for students, parents, and educators. Responsibilities include managing inventory, merchandising band and orchestra instruments, accessories, and rentals, coordinating with lesson programs and school service reps, analyzing sales reports, and executing local marketing and outreach. You will model service-driven, student-centered selling while fostering an inclusive, collaborative, performance-oriented culture. Responsibilities Lead and coach store sales team to meet revenue and lesson enrollment targets Deliver excellent customer service to students, parents, and educators Manage inventory, merchandising, and product presentation for instruments and accessories Oversee rental programs and coordinate with school service representatives Analyze sales reports and KPIs to drive performance and staffing decisions Execute local marketing, events, and community outreach to grow traffic Partner with lesson program staff to align sales with education offerings Ensure store operations, cash handling, and policies meet company standards Recruit, train, and schedule sales associates to support peak business needs Foster a student-focused, collaborative, performance-oriented store culture Required Skills Retail sales management Team leadership and coaching Sales forecasting and reporting Customer relationship management (CRM) Point-of-sale (POS) systems Inventory management and merchandising Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis Marketing and community outreach Music product knowledge (band/orchestra, accessories) Negotiation and closing skills
