An Assistant Retail Store Manager provides support to the Manager of a retail store, either an independent business or a store that is part of a large retail chain. May have primary responsibility for hiring and training retail sales staff. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. Supervises sales, warehouse, cleaning, maintenance and security staff and prepares work schedules. Responsible for resolving customer complaints.

Description Since 1972, Cousins Subs has been serving up better subs and a better place to work. We're looking for hands-on leaders who are ready to support their team, take ownership, and grow with us. This is a full-time role requiring open availability and a strong work ethic. What You'll Do
- Be on the floor 80-90% of the time—making subs, running the line, supporting the team
- Open or close the store (bread baking starts as early as 6 AM, closing until 11 PM)
- Help manage schedules, inventory, hiring, and training
- Step in for the GM when needed
- Make sure the store meets quality, service, and cleanliness standards
- Handle guest complaints professionally
- Follow food safety and health code standards What We're Looking For
- At least 1 year of management experience
- Open availability (weekends, early mornings, late evenings)
- Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills
- Dependability and a team-first attitude
