A Sales Assistant provides administrative assistance to sales representatives or teams. Provides follow up on sales leads or assists with marketing or recruiting new leads, and compiles sales reports. Works in an office or in a remote location and provides assistance by phone, email or the internet.
We are looking to add a team member to our office staff. General office skills preferred but willing to train the right candidate. Phone answering and etiquette, computer knowledge to include using word, excel and emailing. Also, office equipment such as copiers, multi-line phone systems, calculator and fax machine. Abilities to prioritize tasks, stay organized, multitask and work not only as a team but be able to work independently and efficiently. Daily tasks include taking orders from Chefs or Purchasing Agents as they call in their menu needs. Once you receive an order you will put it into our ordering system and pass it on to the shipping department. You will also learn the UPS and Fedex tracking systems to track the orders you input to ensure timely delivery of the chef's order. Over time you will gain more knowledge of the products we offer, which will help you in turn with selling, offering and explaining our products to sell in some of the finest restaurants throughout the US. Our twenty employees work a 35-40 hour week, Monday through Friday. Many of our employees have enjoyed working at Prairie Harvest for 10 plus years.
