COMPANY INTRODUCTION
Manzana Products Co. has been in business for over 100 years and is a leading producer of organic apple juice, apple sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Manzana is owned by Agrial, a prominent French co-op of 12,000 farmer members and a force in agriculture and food production. Job Summary:
The Sales Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Sales Department while delivering exceptional customer service to both retail and wholesale customers. This role serves as a key liaison between customers, internal departments, and some outside agencies to ensure accurate and timely execution of sales support processes for private labels and Manzana's North Coast brand. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Customer Service o Provide professional phone and email support to customer requests, product inquiries, concerns and see all inquiries through to resolution. o Assist customers with questions related to product availability, label inventory, documentation and other general inquiries. o Coordinate internally to ensure timely resolution of customer inquiries or concerns, while maintaining positive customer relationships. o Support with initial and follow-up contact for new customer accounts. o Enter information on customer portals (price updates and changes, new items, contact changes and other) o Manage online and phone inquiries. (strong customer service, professional, new customer vetting, etc.) o Manage customer complaints while working alongside the QA department. Report any issues to QA, obtain additional information as needed Duties and Responsibilities Administrative Sales Support o Own the sales review/approval process for new customer products, product changes, and product discontinuation routers, which includes: o Coordinate with customers, sales, production, customer service, warehouse, and/or quality assurance teams to have routers follow their correct and timely approval flow. o Enter and maintain customer and broker information within company systems. o Communicate with domestic and international sales teams to assist with specific projects and inquiries. o Monitor inventory levels and generate simple excel reports of apple juice, applesauce, and apple cider vinegar products in Business Central upon request. Customers or managers may also request weekly or monthly inventory tracking for specific items when there are concerns about low stock levels, out-of-stock situations, or estimating when inventory may be depleted. o Work with customer service to obtain information about shipment status and delivery issues. o Help prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market updates. o
Coordinate Trade Show Activities:
o Request marketing assets. o Coordinate product shipment in advance of trade shows. o Work with third party deduction vendor, Promomash, to create disputes and follow up as needed. o Help with other daily sales department tasks assigned by the sales managers. Qualifications Associate degree in Business, Sales, customer service or related field preferred; equivalent education considered. Minimum of one year of administrative support experience in a comparable business environment. Food industry and/or sales support experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of office administration and business operations. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and project coordination abilities. Detail-oriented Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work successfully within a multicultural and cross-functional environment. Self-motivated and capable of working independently. Strong problem-solving and follow-through skills.
Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word. Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to learn and navigate multiple internal systems and business platforms.
