Job Description

Safety Footwear - Sales Assistant The SFP Sales Assistant is an entry-level position that involves traveling to customer sites in company owned box trucks, providing on-site sales of safety footwear, and learning the overall Safety FootwearProgram (SFP) business. This role focuses on delivering, fitting, and selling shoes directly to employeesat industrial and corporate locations, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Travels with SFP Account Managers and Sales Representatives to SFP customer worksites to sell safety footwear to customers employees. Provides outstanding customer service, collaborating with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction, provides support and guidance, resolves issues and identify opportunities. Assists with SFP product inventory levels in warehouse and ensures daily/weekly product replenishment and may also prepare special product requests for scheduled visits. Occasionally drives company-owned cargo van to transport merchandise to customer locations. Uses CRM (Kiosk) to document and keep current all account and daily visit details. During the sales process collects money from customers, makes change, and records transactions, may also make deposits when necessary. Assists accounts with their employee eligibility needs through consultation and technology implementation. Assists with the monitoring, maintenance, and repair of assigned truck and any corporate vehicle, to include cleaning and scheduling of required servicing, etc. Inspects the truck pre- and post-trip. Reports maintenance needs to SFP Leadership. Requirements High school diploma or GED required, retail experience preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess & maintain a valid drivers license with ability to drive a company owned vehicle. Ability to successfully complete an annual motor vehicle record check and acknowledge Shoe Carnivals Driver Safety policy. Basic computer, math, and financial skills are necessary. Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. Excellent time management skills. Strong conflict resolution and customer service skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and convey a positive professional image. Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays with occasional overnight travel.
