This role combines technical expertise with consultative selling to identify customer needs, recommend solutions, and support the sales process from prospecting through installation and after-sales support. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturing customers, including machine shops, aerospace, automotive, medical device, and industrial manufacturers. Identify new business opportunities and generate sales leads within the assigned territory. Understand customer machining applications, production requirements, and manufacturing challenges. Recommend appropriate CNC machines, tooling, automation systems, and turnkey solutions. Conduct product presentations, machine demonstrations, and technical sales meetings. Prepare quotations, proposals, and return-on-investment (ROI) analyses. Collaborate with application engineers, service technicians, and product specialists to develop customer solutions. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts while maintaining profitability targets. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements. Maintain accurate records of sales activities and opportunities in CRM systems. Attend trade shows, industry events, and customer visits to promote company products. Support machine installations and customer training when required. Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent industry experience). 3+ years of experience in machine tool sales, manufacturing engineering, CNC programming, machining, or industrial equipment sales.
Strong understanding of:
CNC machining processes Milling and turning operations CAD/CAM software Tooling and workholding systems Manufacturing automation Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office applications. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the territory. Preferred Qualifications Experience selling CNC machine tools from manufacturers such as Mazak, DMG MORI, Okuma, Haas Automation, or Makino. Knowledge of Industry and manufacturing automation technologies. Experience with capital equipment sales and long sales cycles.
