Job Description

Job Summary The Product Specialist will serve as a key technical and commercial resource supporting aerospace products from quotation and product development through production and customer delivery. This position works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, Program Management, and customers to ensure products meet technical, quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of aerospace products and manufacturing processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a highly regulated and customer-focused environment Responsibilities Serve as a product and technical resource for assigned aerospace products and customer programs. Support new product introduction (NPI), product changes, and product lifecycle activities. Review customer drawings, specifications, purchase orders, and technical requirements. Support RFQs, quotations, cost estimates, pricing, and proposal preparation. Work with Engineering and Manufacturing to evaluate product manufacturability, cost, and production requirements. Coordinate with Quality to ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards and customer requirements. Support First Article Inspection (FAI), corrective actions, and product documentation as required. Investigate product, manufacturing, and customer issues and coordinate appropriate corrective actions. Maintain product documentation, specifications, pricing information, and other technical records. Serve as a liaison between customers and internal departments to resolve technical and commercial issues. Support customer meetings, product reviews, presentations, and technical discussions. Monitor product performance, delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction. Identify opportunities for product improvements, cost reductions, and process improvements. Assist with product launches, engineering changes, and production transitions. Maintain awareness of applicable aerospace industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory requirements. Travel to customer or supplier locations as required. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, product management, engineering, sales, or a related technical field. Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing and production processes. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Experience working with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred. Familiarity with
AS9100, AS9102, FAA
requirements, or other aerospace quality standards is a plus. Experience with quoting, pricing, customer requirements, or proposal development is preferred. Preferred Skills Aerospace components, structures, engines, or systems experience. Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings. Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI). Experience supporting OEM aerospace customers. Understanding of aerospace supply chains and production planning. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement. Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, production personnel, customers, and senior management. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Work Environment This position may involve a combination of office, manufacturing-floor, customer, and supplier environments. Occasional travel may be required depending on customer and business needs.
