Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. The Sales Engineer will work with the Sales Engineering Department and Preproduction (PP). Design system to meet a customer's unique audio, video, and recording needs per the sales team members scope of work (SOW). Assign duties and design tasks to the Sales Engineering (SE) team. Create documentation for the field team to install the designed solution accurately. Act as the technical advisor to work with the SE team, sales team, and others as needed regarding audio, video, and recording solutions before proposing a potential sale. Present the proposal to the associated stakeholders of the project and perform any product demos that may be necessary. Work with the workflow of Preproduction, ensuring that products requiring testing, preprogramming, and preparation are processed correctly and promptly. Follow process flow and task assignments within the departments. Provide input into the companys product offerings and guidance to other departments. Create bills of materials, labor estimates, and system design drawings for proposals. Review and validate the scope of work associated with the project and system design. Support sales team members with customer need analysis and site surveys and consult with the sales team to assess the application of company products and services to solve client business needs. Provide integration documents and troubleshoot system issues to determine and find resolutions upon service escalation.
Job Requirements :
Requires a bachelors degree in Music Engineering or a directly related field plus six (6) months of experience as a Recording Engineer or a similar position.
Experience must include:
Six (6) months of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
  • Digital, analog, and networked audio and video signal flow.
  • Networking protocols and practices, including DHCP, Multicast and Unicast Traffic, VLAN creation and management, and
RTSP/RTP
streaming.
  • Windows OS tools, including Microsoft 365 suite of programs, Windows Active Directory, and Windows Task Scheduler.
  • Working with video signals, including image resolution, frame rate and color space.
  • Working with applied audio system design, engineering, and use of theoretical and practical applications, including Extrom, Biamp and Wolfvision, Atlona,Cisco, Netgear, QSC, and Polycom.
  • Working with vendors and third parties to vet and review the current market to ensure competitiveness in providing the most advanced technology product offers.
40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm,
Salary:
$87,600.00/year.
