Sell and technically scope custom industrial equipment and automated finishing/conveyor systems for manufacturing clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Understand customer manufacturing, coating, material handling, and throughput requirements . Design/recommend customized liquid, powder, conveyor, and automation systems . Prepare estimates, technical proposals, ROI information, and specifications . Present technical solutions to engineers, plant managers, procurement teams, and executives . Manage technical aspects of the sales cycle from discovery/RFP through contract closure . Coordinate with mechanical/electrical engineering and fabrication teams . Develop B2B opportunities in metal fabrication, wood, plastics, aerospace, and automotive . Travel to customer facilities for site visits, plant walkthroughs, presentations, and equipment startups .
Must-Have Qualifications:
3+ years in Sales Engineering, Application Engineering, or Technical/Industrial Sales. Experience with heavy machinery, industrial automation, fluid handling, or finishing equipment . Ability to read and redline engineering drawings and facility layouts . Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, pneumatic/fluid systems . Strong technical communication and consultative sales skills. Willingness to travel across North America .
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering , or related field. Experience with powder coating, spray systems, cure ovens, or finishing equipment .
