Inside Sales Engineer

RWC, Inc., a leading manufacturer of high speed automated assembly and welding equipment is looking for an Inside Sales Engineer to join the Production Support Services team. Job Summary:

Responsible for working independently with minimal supervision within areas of the RWC PSS organization. Prepares spare part quotations and projects as assigned. Work shall be conducted in accordance with the specifications or requirements established. Tasks are to be prepared within cost and quality guidelines appropriate to the assigned project.

Essential Functions:

Prepares estimates of costs and delivery for potential new orders based on the knowledge of customer part requirements. Assists in preparation of spare parts lists and quotations. Ability to produce mechanical assembly designs and drawings. Recommends engineering changes (when necessary) on mechanical details Interact with customers with ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics. Processes orders from time of inquiry to shipment. Issues orders to vendors for both manufactured and purchased components. Expedites orders with suppliers. Inspects orders prior to shipment for accuracy of dimensions and quantity. Build crating and boxing per required component size in order to ship parts. Prepares parts for shipment, necessary data entry for couriers and ships all parts in a timely manner. Interface with customers when in Bay City or at customer location. Solicit new business for Non-RWC customers. Represent RWC PSS and RWC Inc. in a professional and appropriate manner.

Essential Qualifications:

High school graduate along with a minimum of four (4) years' experience in a mechanical engineering field. College Mechanical Design Technology Certificate or better preferred. Computer literacy skills to include proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, CAD and knowledge of other basic computer skills and the ability to adapt to all applicable software. Ability to communicate on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic engineering matters. Ability to read blueprints and drawings and extrapolate information as required. Must possess a basic understanding of electrical controls. Interpersonal skills sufficient to effectively interact with internal employees, customers, professional personnel and management. Must be able to work in a team work environment. Must maintain a current valid driver's license. Must be able to travel independently to and from job sites to meet the customers' requirements. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment:

Normal office environment with little or no discomfort due to dust, noise, temperature, etc. Occasional exposure to manufacturing process with slightly higher noise levels. Domestic and international travel, including air and ground travel.

Reporting Relationships:

Reports directly to the Manager of Production Support Services.
