Automotive Angott Search Group is pleased to partner with a global automotive supplier in the search for a Senior Sales Engineer. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, supporting key automotive customer accounts, and executing both regional and global sales strategies within a highly technical and fast-paced environment. The Senior Sales Engineer will serve as a critical link between engineering, sales, and customer organizations, ensuring strong alignment across product performance, commercial strategy, and long-term account development. This is a high-visibility position with direct impact on key OEM relationships, forecasting, and long-term business planning within the automotive sector.
Responsibilities:
Drive revenue growth and achieve established sales and operating targets within assigned automotive accounts. Develop and execute account strategies in collaboration with the Sales Manager. Manage pre-sales activities, new business acquisition, and retention of existing business. Lead commercial discussions, including aftermarket negotiations and long-term agreements (LTAs). Build and maintain strong relationships with OEM customers and key stakeholders. Forecast annual and 5-year sales volumes and provide analysis supporting projections. Participate in global and regional key account reviews and new business meetings. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, program management, quality, and supply chain teams. Monitor customer KPIs (quality, delivery, performance) and ensure alignment with expectations. Support customer issue resolution with a focus on responsiveness and long-term relationship strength. Oversee commercial elements of customer agreements, including pricing, raw material adjustments, and contract performance. Maintain accurate reporting, documentation, and communication with internal and external stakeholders. Support international collaboration and cross-regional sales initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of experience in technical sales, engineering, or project management (automotive industry strongly preferred). Experience with electro-mechanical products, ideally automotive rotating electrical machines (e.g., starters/alternators). 3+ years of project management experience required. Experience working with OEM systems/processes (GM and/or Hyundai APQP exposure highly desirable). Strong understanding of forecasting, account management, and commercial negotiations. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and global team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Additional language skills (Spanish, German, Mandarin) a plus. Job # 2191 Share
