Onsite Job Description Seeking a Sales Engineer with experience in automotive interior lighting or illuminated components to support growth within OEM and Tier 1 accounts across the North American market. This role is ideal for someone with an engineering background who enjoys customer interaction and can confidently bridge technical discussions with commercial objectives. The position will support customer programs from RFQ through launch while helping strengthen technical credibility and customer relationships in the U.S. market. The ideal candidate is responsive, technically capable, customer-focused, and comfortable working closely with overseas teams in a fast-paced global environment. Responsibilities
Support and manage OEM and Tier 1 customer accounts throughout the sales and program lifecycle
Serve as the technical point of contact for customers regarding automotive interior lighting and illuminated component solutions
Lead technical discussions, presentations, and application support activities with customers
Support RFQ activities through quotation, development, award, and launch
Coordinate closely with overseas engineering, quality, and program teams to communicate customer requirements and drive solutions
Assist with customer relationship management and help identify opportunities for account growth
Conduct onsite customer visits for technical reviews, program support, and relationship development
Prepare professional presentations, reports, and technical documentation for customers and internal teams
Support issue resolution and ensure timely communication between customers and internal stakeholders
Monitor customer trends, competitor activity, and market developments within automotive interiors and lighting systems
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering required (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field preferred)
3+ years of experience within automotive interiors, ambient lighting, illuminated components, or related automotive electronics products
Strong understanding of automotive product development and RFQ-to-launch processes
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both engineering and commercial teams
Experience supporting OEM and/or Tier 1 automotive customers preferred
Strong presentation, communication, and customer-facing skills
Experience working with global or overseas teams strongly preferred
Highly responsive, organized, and proactive work style
Additional Asian language skills are a plus, but not required
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Must be able to travel internationally for training within the first few months of employment and maintain a valid passport for business travel
Preferred Background
Applications Engineer, Sales Engineer, Product Engineer, or Technical Account Manager background within automotive suppliers
Experience supporting interior systems, ambient lighting modules, LED components, HMI systems, or illuminated trim products
Existing relationships within OEM or Tier 1 automotive accounts are a plus
