Job Description
Eaton's North American Sales team is seeking a Pre-Sales Engineer within 50 miles of Woodridge, IL or Arden, NC facility. ## What you'll do: The Pre-Sales Engineer will be responsible for providing presales application & technical support of the entire CPDI portfolio such as D-IT (single phase UPS, PDU, racks, connectivity) and CPS products (3-Phase UPS) for channel sales, partners, and end users in market. The role will strategically align with channel sales by analyzing application requirements, technical specifications, and creating an accurate and all-encompassing Build of Materials. The achievement of assigned key performance indicators, project escalation to the Regional Sales Engineers and/or Application Engineers, superior customer engagement, and providing maximum coverage and channel penetration will be key to this role. This role will partner Application Engineers for product-specific technical escalations, and Regional Pre-Sales Engineers for region-specific projects where the end user is located in territory.
In this function you will:
- Provide general pre-sale application and technical support, and product guidance and solutions of all CPDI products such as D-IT (single phase UPS, PDU, racks, connectivity) and CPS products (3-Phase UPS) for customers, end users, field sales, distributors and resellers per channel structure.
- Deliver exceptional service as the main point of customer contact through a positive attitude, high availability, accuracy, and responsiveness.
- Partner with channel sales to support and influence designated sales goals
- Analyze customer power systems and load requirements, interpret customer specifications, drawings, and schematics to select appropriate units for customer applications and build/validate Bill of Material.
- Cross reference competitive product
- Escalate appropriately to Regional Pre-Sales Engineers and Application Engineers
- Provide quotations per customer requirements according to channel pricing procedures
- Administer pricing programs such as deal registrations and special discounts
- Profile sales opportunities and communicate leads to field sales organization, Regional Pre-Sales Engineers, and Application Engineers
- Provide a single point of customer contact, owing the project from inception to implementation
- Develop and maintain customer relationships through excellent customer service skills
- Manage daily phone, email, and chat volume to support internal and external customers
- Communicate regularly with the channel sales organization to share and influence business intelligence ##
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in sales, customer support, marketing, or engineering
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50 radius of Arden, NC or Woodridge, IL will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
