Job Description

Technical Sales Engineer Engineering Lincolnton, North Carolina Professional Direct Hire Mar 19, 2026 HTI is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join the R D team of a global manufacturing client. This role will focus on technical product development and sales to the tobacco industry, working closely with engineering and product development teams to bring innovative solutions to market. This position is Direct Hire with a salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 depending on experience.

What You Need:
Background in textiles preferred, ideally within technical textiles or related manufacturing Experience in technical sales, product development, or application engineering Experience working in or selling into the tobacco industry preferred Strong technical communication and customer relationship skills Ability to collaborate with engineering, R D, and commercial teams Willingness to travel as needed for customer engagement and market development
What Your Role Will Look Like:
The Technical Sales Engineer will support both technical product development and commercial growth, working closely with customers and internal R D teams to bring new products and solutions to market. Collaborate with R D on the development and improvement of technical products Drive sales growth within the tobacco industry through strategic customer engagement Identify market opportunities and contribute to product development strategies Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers while developing new business Present technical solutions and product capabilities to customers Support quotation development and project discussions with customers Participate in customer visits, trade shows, and technical discussions Work cross-functionally with engineering, product development, and sales teams Additional duties as needed and assigned About HTI Human Technologies, Inc.
