View More Jobs Pre-Sales Engineer Anderson, SC, United States Job Description Position Summary The Senior Pre-Sales Engineer - ETO Engineering (LVA) is responsible for supporting pre-sales engineered-to-order (ETO) electrical and mechanical design activities for low voltage assembly (LVA) power distribution solutions supporting data center, industrial, and mission critical applications. This role supports technical proposal development, customer technical engagement, estimating support, design validation, and cross-functional coordination to ensure technically compliant, commercially aligned, and manufacturable solutions are developed during the quotation and bid phase. This position serves as a senior technical contributor for pre-sales ETO activities and supports consistency, quality, responsiveness, standardization, and execution across electrical and mechanical design support functions. Key Responsibilities Support pre-sales ETO engineering activities for LV switchboards, switchgear, power distribution equipment, and custom engineered assemblies. Provide technical support for electrical and mechanical design development during the quotation and proposal phase. Review customer specifications, one-line diagrams, technical requirements, and project documentation to ensure compliance with customer expectations and applicable standards. Support engineered-to-order (ETO), configure-to-order (CTO), and standard platform opportunities across multiple customer segments. Coordinate technical alignment between Sales, Applications Engineering, Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Sourcing, and Project Management. Ensure quotation designs align with

1558, NEC, IEC, and customer specific requirements where applicable. Support development of conceptual layouts, GA drawings, preliminary BOMs, control architectures, and technical submittal documentation. Review and validate technical scope, component selections, short circuit ratings, bus sizing, protection schemes, metering requirements, and mechanical configurations. Support development and maintenance of standard design practices, engineering templates, reusable design blocks, and technical processes to improve speed and consistency. Participate in technical risk reviews during proposal development and identify potential manufacturing, compliance, cost, or schedule risks. Coordinate with sourcing and supply chain teams on long lead item considerations, component availability, approved manufacturer lists, and alternate component strategies. Support customer technical review meetings and provide technical clarification throughout the proposal process. Support quotation schedules and proposal response timelines through effective prioritization and coordination. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quotation accuracy, cycle time reduction, BOM accuracy, standardization, and design efficiency. Support development and maintenance of engineering KPIs, proposal tracking metrics, and technical documentation processes. Provide technical mentoring and guidance to junior engineers and designers. Support transition of awarded projects into execution teams through structured technical handoff processes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field. Minimum 5-8 years of experience in low voltage power distribution, switchgear, switchboard, or engineered electrical systems. Strong understanding of LV power distribution systems, electrical protection, control systems, and mechanical enclosure design. Strong knowledge ofUL 891, UL
1558, NEC, and related industry standards. Experience supporting data center, industrial, utility, or mission critical infrastructure projects. Ability to review electrical one-lines, schematics, GA layouts, and BOM structures. Experience working within ETO manufacturing environments. Strong communication, organizational, and cross-functional coordination skills. Experience with ERP, PDM, and engineering documentation systems preferred. Preferred Skills Experience with IFS, Oracle, Vault, AutoCAD, SEE
Electrical, SolidWorks, or equivalent engineering systems. Experience supporting large scale data center infrastructure projects. Understanding of manufacturing processes, design for manufacturability, and cost optimization. Familiarity with seismic, thermal, short circuit, and compliance testing requirements.
