Job Description

Regional Sales Engineer Sales Humboldt , Tennessee MAU is hiring a Regional Sales Engineer for our client in Humboldt, TN. As a Regional Sales Engineer, you will drive pre-sales activities by providing technical expertise, understanding customer needs, presenting automation solutions, and supporting the sales process.   • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 3-5 years of pre-sales or technical sales experience, preferably in power generation, transmission, and distribution Preferred Education and Experience
  • Strong academic background in power systems, control systems, or automation
  • Certifications relevant to the utility industry and power systems General Requirements
  • Strong understanding of power transformer technology, controls, and relevant industry standards
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Thorough understanding of transformer automation and concepts such as AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulation) and LTC operation
  • Willingness to travel frequently (estimated up to 50%) Essential Functions
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to position automation solutions effectively
  • Transfer knowledge of automation products to the sales team to support communication of technical benefits
  • Provide insights from customer interactions to the product development team to inform future enhancements
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers during the pre-sales phase, addressing inquiries and technical concerns
  • Engage with potential clients to assess technical requirements and business challenges related to transformer automation
  • Provide in-depth technical expertise and advice on automation products, demonstrating how solutions address customer needs
  • Deliver pre-sales technical support to the sales team, including product demonstrations and technical presentations
  • Collaborate with the regional sales team to develop pre-sales strategies for the transformer automation portfolio
  • Support group sales growth and targets for the assigned region for automation portfolio Working Conditions
